Working with Milan
The pace and style of our work will depend on you and your current need. For some people, talk therapy yields insight. For others, visualisation, movement, and felt sense may help to go further. I have experience in working in these different ways to support clients to explore their experience and develop new strengths and relationship patterns.
I provide a safe and confidential space, and genuine interest in you and the difficulty that you currently face. Working alongside you to help explore what’s troubling you enabling you to find your own strengths and a way through your current difficulty.
Milan's work with CFOR (Force for Change)
In the immediate post-war period in Croatia, Milan was a community relief worker in an international organisation, and coordinated socio-economic development projects. Later, working with ‘Udruga MI’, a Croatian organisation, he was responsible to implement conflict transformation and socio-economic development projects in war affected areas of North Croatia. In the period 2006 to 2012, he was intensely involved in development, design and implementation of partnership projects between Udruga MI and CFOR, funded by the UNHCR, the EU and various European embassies in Croatia.
Milan has extensive experience working with local stakeholders and in teams, in order to implement projects in post-conflict or disadvantaged regions. Arising from his personal experience as a refugee, he has a special interest in conflict transformation and post-conflict work. In addition to his work at CFOR, Milan currently works with an NGO that supports destitute asylum seekers in Sheffield.
Milan is registered with the United Kingdom Council for Psychotherapy (UKPC) and Humanistic and Integrative Psychotherapy College. (HIPC)
