Child & Adolescent ART PSYCHOTHERAPIST
Michelle is a fully qualified and registered Art Psychotherapist with a Masters Degree in Art Psychotherapy with many years experience of working with children and young people. She is a full member of the British Association of Art Therapists (BAAT) and is registered with HCPC.
Before training as an Art Psychotherapist Michelle had a career in education working in primary, secondary and continuing education.
Since qualifying as an Art Psychotherapist 8 years ago, Michelle has worked with children, young people and families across the North West through a variety of organisations and support services including One Education’s Emotional Trauma Support Service; Core Assets Children’s Services; Young Carers; Adoption Counts and Adult Mental Health Carers.
Michelle works in an integrative manner, drawing on a range of thinking, ideas and techniques which are uniquely tailored to meet the needs of the individual child or young person.
Michelle predominantly provides individual work, but can offer small group, sibling, dyadic (parent-child), and family work when suitable. Michelle works with pre-school to teenagers age groups.
